Volunteer Teachers Now in Haiti

The First Lutheran Church of Jacmel Haiti will begin ESL (English as a Second Language) classes led by college students who had participated in the Building Homes and Hope for Haiti trips earlier this spring. Sofie Martin, a member at Immanuel Lutheran, Palatine, Illinois, and Jacob Deal, a member of Trinity Lutheran, Toledo, Ohio, will also be working with Pastor Marky Kessa to establish an Internet presence for the church as well as train individuals on other media in order to communicate the news on our schools, churches and orphanages in Haiti.
