Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri has been caring for a man who is facing major surgery on his leg. The surgery is to take place at the University of Chicago Bone and Joint Replacement Center at Weiss Memorial Hospital, 4646 North Marine Drive in Chicago. Pastor Duane Maas of Redeemer has asked LCC to help find a place for the man to stay prior to his surgery and for a brief recovery period until he can return to Missouri for rehab. Redeemer is covering all travel costs to and from Chicago. They are simply looking for a place where he can stay while here. Pastor Maas explains:
We have a single man around 50 years of age with a bad leg who will be coming to Chicago to see a surgeon on June 19th. He will not be admitted June 19th for surgery unless something very serious is needed. He anticipates the surgery will be scheduled a week or so after that date. His request is for a place to stay from June 19th until his surgery. We don't anticipate his stay with someone will be more than 2 weeks. Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield, MO is covering all his travel expenses.
