LCC Hospitality House Ministry
“Share with the Lord’s people, who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:13

The LCC Hospitality House at Faith Lutheran in Carpentersville, Illinois, will soon be opening. The work teams are in the final stages of the plumbing and electrical work.
Your church can partner with Faith Lutheran by hosting a “house warming party” to provide items for specific areas of the house, such as the living room, bedrooms and bathrooms. Please contact Dianna Bonfield for more details at dianna@lutheranchurchcharities.org. Show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Hebrews 12:2 The Hospitality House Ministry provides a tangible and spiritual symbol of God’s love through Christian Hospitality. It is a collaboration between Lutheran Church Charities and Lutheran Churches to provide low-to-no-cost short term housing for people in need. The churches open their unused property such as parsonages, closed schools and apartments to people facing a crisis. Lutheran Church Charities guides the church in developing a ministry team to journey with the individuals and families, offering the mercy, compassion, presence and God’s word while equipping them to transition to a more stable situation.
Currently, there are two LCC Hospitality Houses and we are preparing to open a third one at Faith Lutheran Church in Carpentersville, Illinois. It is through God’s handiwork that people come together to use their God-given gifts to make the Hospitality Houses a reality. LCC Lutheran Early Response Teams (LERT) and local businesses donate their time and services to repair and maintain the homes, while surrounding churches offer unique ways to help the families in the Hospitality Houses. It is a network of people and churches coming together to support the ministry so people can experience the life-changing love of Jesus Christ.
